The dual-port fiber 10G Bypass Ethernet bypass server adapter GH1002EBP-V3.5 is a PCI-Express X8 network interface card that contains two fiber optic (SR, LR) 10G Ethernet ports on the PCI-E adapter. The GH1002EBP adapter is intended for inline network systems and maintains network connectivity in the event of a system failure.
The GH1002EBP dual-port fiber 10G Ethernet bypass server adapter supports normal bypass and disconnect modes. In Normal mode, the port is a separate interface, while in BYPASS mode, all packets received from one port are transferred to adjacent ports, and in Disconnect mode, the adapter analog switch/path cable is disconnected.
The GH1002EBP server adapter can bypass or disconnect its Ethernet ports in the event of a host system failure, power shutdown, or software request. In Bypass mode, the connection to the Ethernet port is disconnected from the system and switched to another port to create a crossover loopback between the Ethernet ports. Therefore, in bypass mode, all groupings received from one port are sent to adjacent ports and vice versa. This feature bypasses failed systems and provides the longest running time for the network. The GH1002EBP dual-port fiber 10G PCIE Bypass server adapter includes an on-board WDT (Gatenor Timer) controller. The adapter's software driver or software application can write commands to the on-board WDT controller. The adapter's software driver, WDT controller and bypass circuit provide an interface for controlling and managing adapter mode.
The two-port fiber 10G Ethernet bypass server adapter of the GH1002EBP is based on the Intel X710BM2 Ethernet controller and offers superior product performance.
