The single-channel dual-port optical fiber 25G Gigabit Bypass Ethernet bypass server adapter GH2502EBP produced by GRT is a PCI-Express X8 network interface card, which contains two optical fiber (SR, LR) 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports on the PCI-E adapter . The GH1002E-BP adapter is designed for inline network systems and maintains network connectivity in the event of a system failure.
The GH2502EBP Dual Port Fiber 25 Gigabit Ethernet Bypass Server Adapter supports normal bypass and disconnect modes. In Normal mode, the ports are independent interfaces, while in BYPASS mode, all packets received from one port will be transmitted to the adjacent port, in Disconnect mode, Adapter analog switch/path cable disconnected.
The GH2502EBP server adapter can bypass or disconnect its Ethernet port in the event of a host system failure, power down, or software request. In Bypass mode, the connection to the Ethernet port is disconnected from the system and switched to another port to create a cross-connect loopback between the Ethernet ports. Therefore, in bypass mode, all packets received from one port are sent to the adjacent port and vice versa. This feature can bypass a failed system and give the network maximum uptime. The GH2502EBP Dual Port Fiber Optic 25G PCIE Bypass Server Adapter includes an onboard WDT (Watchdog Timer) controller. The adapter's software driver or software application can write commands to the onboard WDT controller. The adapter's software driver, WDT controller and bypass circuit provide an interface to control and manage the adapter mode.
GRT GH2502EBP's dual-port fiber 10 Gigabit Ethernet bypass server adapter is based on Intel XXV710-AM2 Ethernet controller and has superior product performance.
